Our Initiative to Support Families during the COVID-19 Pandemic

We are experiencing a very unique & unprecedented situation due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID -19) outbreak in our country. Going by the multiplicity nature of the COVID-19, the government machinery and resources are not sufficient to fight against the pandemic.

Amidst this surge in COVID-19 cases in the country, LS Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals has stepped up its efforts in providing a safety net to the casual labor families as an emergency response.

COVID Care Centre

LS support includes assistance in the form of developing a COVID-19 Care Centre at Charwada Vapi, Gujarat with a facility of more than 100 beds, bedsheets and all essential requirements for the affected people. 35 BPC flow metre with Humidifier bottle and L bracket along with 15 oxygen valves cover and s.s bracket were handed as a resource support to this centre.

Inaugurated by Hon. Minister Raman Patkar and MLA Kanubhai Desai in May, 2021.

Distribution of Sanitation Equipment

LS Chemicals donated N95 masks, PPE kits, hand sanitisers, disinfectants, pulse oximeters and infrared thermometers to factory staff, ground level healthcare workers and health centres at Vapi.

Conducting Education Seminars

We also conducted a session to disseminate health information on prevention and sanitation to prevent COVID infection in Vapi. Also bridging the major knowledge gap between myths and misconceptions.

Employee Care

The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the way people work and encouraged a safe working pattern from home.

LS too has taken various safety measures to ensure the safety of our employees.

Office employees are declared to work from home until further notice, however manufacturing facilities are fully functional with necessary safety precautions.

Sanitisation showers and hand sanitizers have been installed at regular distances to ensure frequent sanitizations.

Temperature checks of an visitor arriving are made mandatory.

Employees are the backbone of any business’ success. That’s why we at LS have prioritized staff wellbeing – physical, mental and financial. From mental health support to extended sick leave and “collective wellbeing holidays”, the range of initiatives has been both innovative and effective.

We have not imposed any reductions on our working staff/labours but also ensured them of an 100% salary per annum. LS guaranteed that employees who have to take time off because they are sick will be still eligible for the full salary.

We also have all our staff along with their family members well insured, in case of any medical crises.
